Cielo is the latest in a line of exceptional performance horses.  His sire, Simsalabim descends from the legendar Darco, the foundation stallion of the BWP, an Olympic competitor and sire of numerous approved stallions including Parco. Simsalabim’s damsire, Feinschnitt another Olympic competitor, jumped at the 1984 games.  Cielo’s dam Montana is by the double gold medallist Jus de Pomme, while Montana’s damsire, Ahorn rounds out the Olympic heritage of Cielo

Cielo possesses a superb temperament as well as correct conformation and movement.  He has produced 100% Premium foals in his first four foal crops.  Cielo is currently in training with Rick Harris at Hunter’s Bluff Farm.  He made his 'AA' show debut at the Gala Fall Festival in 2006 in the jumpers and ribboned in all of his classes.  He continued with clear rounds at the Great Southwest Autumn Classic.  In 2007, Cielo  spent several weeks at Gulfport and Kentucky Horse Park, where he finished his first year of jumper performance for his permanent licese with the BWP. In 2008, Cielo campaigned the 6 yo Young Jumpers and qualified for the YJC Midwest Finals in Lexington, KY.  We have yet to find the limits to this rideable, talented stallion and expect to see him in the Grand Prix arena in the not too distant future.  Cielo is EVA negative and vaccinated annually.  DVD available upon request.

Cielo was trained by Russell Oden in preparation for the 2005 BWP Stallion Inspection (Oden Sport Horses).  At the Keuring - Cielo scored a 77 and was granted his preliminary breeding license.  He scored well on his topline and overall impression.

The BWP Judges' Comments: As a two-year old this chestnut in 2004 won the futurity class (nationwide). The stud has Nonstop-son Simsalabim as a father, while mother Montana is a Jus de Pomme daughter. Cielo B is robust in terms of build, has a good square model and moves with great suppleness. During free jumping he displayed a lot of power. Considering his solid build it can reasonably be expected that he will do good work with the thoroughbred mares that are used in great numbers in warm blood horse breeding in the United States.

At the 2004 BWP Keuring, Cielo received a 75 and won the 2 year old Futurity - The judges remarked upon his exceptional topline, movement, and overall impression.

As a yearling, Cielo received one of the highest scores on the BWP inspection tour.

Please contact ronda@risingstarfarm.net or 512-751-2390 for information.  *EVA Negative* and vaccinated annually

Cielo's outstanding bloodlines continue to produce champions.  In 2006, Play On (Jus de Pomme x Emilion x Notaris) cruised to a $20,000 Classic win at WEF, Tampa, while Margie Engle qualified for the 2006 FEI Jumping World Cup Final aboard Quervo Gold (Jus de Pomme/Codexco/Farao de Guldenboom). Engle also qualified with Quervo Gold for World Equestrian Games in Aachen, Germany this August. Other WEG qualifiers included Tarco and Sapphire (Darco) and Neuville (Lugano van la Roche).

Cielo combines these great bloodlines and we expect him to excel in National and International competition.
