Valentino Z is a son of Darco, without doubt one of the best sport stallions in history. Under Ludo Phillipaerts, Darco was 6th in the WC in Stockholm 1990, and 7th in the Olympic Games in Barcelona in 1992. Darco consistently passes on his jumping talent to his offspring. More than forty registered offspring in the Breeding Guide for international jumpers turns Darco into one of the most influential stallions of all time, including the ranking of #1 showjumping sire in 2008. Damsire Feo de Lauzelle produced a range of international jumpers including It's Me, Miss Flo and Tiramisu. The mother line of Valentino Z includes the French stallions Iveday (Night and Day xx) and Quastor (Ibrahim) and the mare Une Page (Quest France - Fra Diavolo xx). Une Page was the grandmother of the French stallions Lotus du Marais (Nankin), Leopard du Marais (Silver Matal xx) and Ouragan du Marais (Hadj A). Night and Day XX was the sire of Primo des Bruyeres, who in turn sired Olympic Jus de Pomme. Valentino Z brings a very exciting pedigree to North America!

Valentino Z has recently gone back into the show ring with great results! Packing his amateur owner, Valentino Z brings home blue ribbons as well as placing in the money in the $5000 Jumper Classic with Rick Harris.

Valentino Z (ex Tarco du Marais DD) was born in 1996. He stands 16.1 h and has lovely conformation.

He has a beautiful head and three floaty gaits. He has the Darco talent and a wonderful, amateur

friendly temperament.

Valentino Z was owned by Stud Zangersheide and ridden by Judy Ann Melchior and Edouard Mathe.

Valentino Z was sold to the United States and competed successfully with a junior rider in multiple Junior Jumper and High Junior Amateur/Owner classes.

These bloodlines have produced NUMEROUS Grand Prix winners including the Olympic Gold Medalist Sapphire.
