Dream Chaser, by Darn that Alarm (winner of the Fountain of Youth Stakes, upsetting the KY derby winner Swale), had a career ending injury as a young mare, so never made it onto the racetrack.  However, she is an ideal producer of both race and performance offspring.  Dream Chaser has produced 3 exceptional foals for Rising Star Farm.  Her first colt, by Onassis *E* has gone on to a career in the hunters.  The second, a premium BWP colt by Fuerst Gotthard was purchased with an eye towards the jumper ring, and the third, a filly who was the high score filly champion for the BWP in 2007 (by Coronado WW), is also destined for the jumper ring.  Her exceptional conformation, feminine type and lovely movement contributed to her high scores at her American Trakehner Associaton inspection: Dream scored multiple 8's - including conformation, type and legs (8, 8/8, 8/7/6, 8 = 53).  At the 2004 BWP Keuring, Dream scored a 67, with high marks for her legs and walk, and was entered into the Main Mare Book.   We at Rising Star Farm, consider Dream Chaser to be our foundation mare and hope to eventually get a “keeper” filly to carry on her legacy.
