The Trakehner Caprimond, Contucci’s sire, was the reserve champion of the Stallion licensing in Neumünster in 1987, and the following year he won his stallion performance test at Adelheidsdorf with a score of 135.35 – first in the dressage on 147.76, but 32nd in the jumping with 98.71. In 1988 he was the reserve-champion of the three year olds at the German Riding Horse Championships in Schenefeld. In 1989, he was awarded first prize at the DLG Exhibition in Frankfurt. He was a successful dressage competitor up to Grand Prix level while serving as ‘school master’ to young Theresa Wahler.
Contucci’s dam Laureen was very successful in her Mare Performance testing, receiving '9's' on all her gaits. Laureen’s sire, Lungau, offers interesting depth to Contucci’s pedigree and is also the dam sire of the Olympic, European, & World Cup Champion Salinero.
