Respect Z is a 1996 Zangersheide mare by Rock Z out of the Thoroughbred mare Comtesse Des Bois.  Rock Z, a son of the famous Rebel IZ, carries on the tradition of Zangersheide line breeding, with Alme blood in both his sire and dam lines.  Rebel IZ, a son of Ramiro Z is a full brother of the legendary jumping wonder, Ratina Z.   Ratina Z, has properly been called “Mare of the Century.” Perhaps Ramiro Z's best known daughter, she was once described as the best horse in the world after several Gold and Silver Olympic medals and winning World Cup performances.   Another full sister is Renomee who also jumped in the Olympic Games in Atlanta. His brothers, Rebel II and III are also approved stallions. Rebel is well known as a breeding stallion and sires international showjumpers, approved sons, and superb breeding mares.

This exceptional jumper blood is crossed on a daughter of Dhausli, who was primarily a sire of racing Thoroughbreds.  The addition of blood resulted in a superior athlete in Respect Z.

Respect Z jumped successfully up to 1.20m.  Ridden by both professionals and juniors, she retired sound from competition to Rising Star Farm to begin her career as a broodmare.  Her first foal by Deja Blue B was a filly graded Premium by the BWP.
